For almost four decades, this
simple shellfish has been the center of attention in Bourne – and why not?
Sweet and succulent, baked, sauted or deep-fried, this traditional Cape Cod
delicacy has been attracting visitors throughout New England.
But the Bourne
Scallop Festival features so much more. Originally conceived as a way to raise
money and showcase local shellfish, the Scallop Festival has grown into the
Upper Cape’s ultimate event, attracting nearly 40,000 people annually. An easy
day-trip from Boston or Providence, the festival showcases hundreds of arts and
crafts exhibitors in a juried show, rides and games for the children, musical
entertainment from some of the Cape’s most popular bands, seating for 1,000
people – and of course great food! Enjoy our expanded food court featuring
lobster rolls, clam chowder, burgers, hot dogs, desserts and more. Parking is
conveniently located on site. Admission is $5. Children under 12 enter free.
